News for
Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Josh Simmons is dealing with a bulging disc in his lower back.
2026-09-30 14:00:02
Simmons hasn’t played or practiced this year. Reid told reporters that he was making progress but will remain out of practice today. Kahlil Benson will presumably draw another start at left tackle in Week 4.

Minkah Fitzpatrick (groin) returned to practice Wednesday.
2026-09-30 14:00:02
It’s his first practice since suffering the groin injury in Week 1. Aaron Glenn told reporters he will be listed as limited and noted that he has a good chance of playing on Sunday. Fitzpatrick isn’t the superstar he once was, but his return will still provide a small boost to the team’s secondary.

Ed Ingram (groin) returned to pratice Wednesday.
2026-09-30 14:00:02
Ingram has missed the past two weeks with the groin issue. He should return to the starting lineup in Week 4 if things go well in practice over the next two days. With Nico Collins also getting healthy, the Texans’ offense could finally rebound on Sunday.

Panthers placed Jaycee Horn (quad) and Mike Jackson (groin) on injured reserve.
2026-09-30 12:00:02
Horn, who suffered a quad tear in Week 3’s loss to Cleveland, could miss most of the season while Jackson’s groin injury is likely less severe. Even so, Carolina’s suspect defense will be without both starting corners for now — a potential boon for opposing passing attacks, including the Lions in Week 4. Carolina has allowed the 12th lowest drop back EPA and the 15th lowest passing success rate through Week 3.

Texans placed DT Mario Edwards, Jr. (knee) on injured reserve.
2026-09-30 12:00:02
Edwards went down with a non-contact knee injury in Week 3 against the Colts and did not return to the game. He could miss the rest of the season if his knee issue requires surgery. This would be a less-than-welcome development for a Houston defense that has struggled through three games.
