News for Shepard, Sterling
Jets signed WR Sterling Shepard to their practice squad. 2026-09-15 16:00:03 The 33-year-old will be a short-term hedge against losing Omar Cooper Jr. and it sounds like he will be given a chance to come up as an elevation over the next two weeks if the Jets like what they see in practice.
Texans released WR Sterling Shepard. 2026-08-30 17:00:03 He lasted just nine days with the team. Shepard was signed before the Kayshon Boutte trade and the Boutte trade can be looked at as the end of any real chance for him to make the team. Shepard’s free agency was fairly slow and at 33 years old it wouldn’t be surprising if he had to sign to a practice squad if he wanted to keep playing.
