Texans released WR Zay Jones. 2026-08-30 17:00:03 He didn’t sign until late August after rehabbing a torn Achilles in Week 10. JJones was an emergency signing for the Texans, but they followed up on it by trading for Kayshon Boutte. The Boutte deal made Jones’ path to a roster spot tenuous. He’ll look to catch on elsewhere. |

Texans signed WR Zay Jones, formerly of the Cardinals. 2026-08-21 17:00:02 Jones and former Buccaneers WR Sterling Shepard have been brought in to help shore up the Texans’ wide receiver corps. Second-year WR Jayden Higgins (knee) was placed on injured reserve today. The Texans are also still trying to figure out what they have in WR Tank Dell (knee), and WR Jaylin Noel (finger/hamstring) missed time in training camp with a pair of injuries. Jones is coming off a season-ending Achilles tendon rupture. Neither he nor Shepard are worth drafting. |
