Commanders placed RB Jeremy McNichols (quad) on injured reserve. 2026-08-30 19:00:03 McNichols will start the season sidelined with a linger quad injury he suffered in mid-August. Used primarily as a pass-catching back, McNichols could see playing time later this season if Rachaad White or Jacory Croskey-Merritt miss any time. For now he should remain on waivers. |

Commanders coach Dan Quinn said Jeremy McNichols (quad) will be sidelined a few weeks. 2026-08-16 14:00:03 McNichols probably is no higher than fourth on the depth chart in Washington behind ‘Bill,’ Rachaad White, and Kaytron Allen. Missing time due to injury doesn’t bode well for him making the initial 53-man roster. |

Commanders RB Jeremy McNichols (quad) is out Wednesday. 2026-08-12 11:00:02 This is the second straight practice McNichols has missed with the quad issue. He’s slated to function as Washington’s No. 3 back behind some combination of Rachaad White and Jacory Croskey-Merritt this season. McNichols was efficient in 2025, averaging five yards per carry on 44 rushes in Washington. |
