He saw 31 snaps to Love’s 55, seeing just six touches to Love’s 26. Allgeier’s most usage came in passing-down situations, catching four passes while pass-blocking was his most prominent role. Allgeier holds little standalone value with Love taking over the backfield; he is a valuable fantasy handcuff for now. |

Rookie RB Jeremiyah Love fared slightly better, but the Seahawks’ defense simply bottled up the Cardinals’ backfield. Allgeier is a capable back but needs help from his offensive environment to generate usable fantasy stat lines. He can only be viewed as a likely touchdown-dependent FLEX against the 49ers next week, although he remains a worthwhile bench stash. |

Jeremiyah Love started the game strong and ended with 11 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown. It was Allgeier who took over with the Cards taking a big lead in the fourth quarter though. Allgeier’s role won’t be great for fantasy by any means. He will limit Love’s usage for now, however. |

There’s vanishingly little chance of that coming to pass after the Cardinals used the third overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on Notre Dam RB Jeremiyah Love. “The Cardinals went ahead of took [Love] I think to the surprise and disappointment of Tyler Allgeier,” Schefter said. Arizona’s backfield is shaping up to be messy for fantasy purposes. James Conner is still in the mix, and with the big-bodied Allgeier profiling as a solid short yardage and goal line option, it remains to be seen how big Love’s role will be. Love, at worst, should get much or all of the backfield’s pass-catching involvement in 2026. |
