Ravens released K Jake Moody from their practice squad. 2026-09-15 18:00:02 Moody is free to shop his services elsewhere as Tyler Loop’s 2-for-2 opening game appears to have marked him as safe for the moment. The Ravens used the practice squad spot on WR Gage Larvadain. |

Ravens signed K Jake Moody to the team’s practice squad. 2026-09-01 10:00:02 It’s an interesting move after Tyler Loop, the team’s Week 1 starter, struggled in training camp and during the preseason. The journeyman Moody was most recently cut by the Commanders and would only be activated to the 53-man roster if Loop’s struggles continue into the regular season. Last year with Washington, Moody went 10-for-11 while going 2-for-2 on distances of 50-plus yards. |

Commanders released K Jake Moody. 2026-08-17 14:00:02 NFL insider Jordan Schultz was the first to report the move. The former 49er was signed to a one-year deal earlier this offseason after a brief stint with Washington, in which he went 10-for-11 while going 2-for-2 on distances of 50-plus yards. Moody had been in a kicking competition with rookie UDFA Drew Stevens, who has outperformed Moody in camp. Moody was a third-round pick by the Niners in 2023 and has converted 78 percent of his field goals in his career and is 107-for-110 on his extra point tries. |
