News for Vidal, Kimani
Kimani Vidal caught two passes for 11 yards and a touchdown while rushing four times for 16 yards in the Chargers’ Week 4 loss to the Seahawks. 2026-10-04 20:00:02 Vidal took a flip pass from Justin Herbert for a touchdown to get the Chargers to within two scores. The 25-year-old saw plenty of reps as Los Angeles is clearly committed to the committee approach — no running back had more than ten carries — but outside of that score, he didn’t do much with them. The Chargers take on the Broncos in Week 5 and Vidal remains off the fantasy radar.
Chargers RB Kimani Vidal rushed five times for eight yards in Thursday’s preseason game against the Texans. 2026-08-13 22:00:02 Vidal stayed in for two drives and did not catch his only target. Tonight’s start suggests Vidal is behind RB Keaton Mitchell on the depth chart. Mitchell did not play, nor did starting RB Omarion Hampton. Vidal is a proven, capable fill-in starter, but he should only be drafted as the Chargers’ RB3 at this time.
Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton believes Kimani Vidal could be a trade candidate this summer. 2026-06-03 11:00:03 Vidal, Moton said, could drop to RB3 on the Chargers’ depth chart this offseason if free agent signing Keaton Mitchell is healthy following a 2024 knee injury that kept him sidelined for much of the 2025 season in Baltimore. The Chargers in march re-signed Vidal to a one-year deal as an exclusive rights free agent after he ran for 643 yards and three touchdowns during the 2025 season. He also caught 16 passes on 20 targets, mostly when Omarion Hampton was sidelined with injury. Look for Mitchell to gain steam in fantasy circles if Vidal leaves LA in the coming weeks or months.
