Mason Taylor (thumb) will not play in Week 3 against the Lions. 2026-09-25 11:00:01 Head coach Aaron Glenn said on Friday morning that Taylor would miss Sunday’s game after being sidelined in practice throughout the week. It was reported on Tuesday that Taylor would be week-to-week with his injury, so it isn’t all to surprising to learn that he will be sidelined for this one. Taylor has -2 yards on two receptions this season and wouldn’t have been on the fantasy radar even if he was active. |

Maosn Taylor (thumb) did not practice Wednesday. 2026-09-23 14:00:01 Taylor, according to head coach Aaron Glenn, will “be just fine.” That could mean he’ll be ready for the Jets’ Week 3 game against the Lions. Through two games Taylor leads the team in tight end routes while rookie Kenyon Sadiq leads in tight end targets. Sadiq, being targeted on 17 percent of his routes, would be a nice streaming play in Week 3 if Taylor is sidelined. |

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Jets TE Mason Taylor (thumb) is considered week-to-week. 2026-09-22 19:00:03 Taylor suffered a thumb injury in Week 2 against the Packers, which will seemingly sideline him for Week 3 and potentially longer. Taylor currently leads Jets tight ends with 78 offensive snaps. Losing for any amount of time elevates rookie TE Kenyon Sadiq to a more prominent role. Sadiq is worth adding in 12-team leagues at this time. |
