NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Dolphins traded QB Quinn Ewers to the Jaguars for a 2028 sixth-round pick. 2026-08-29 18:00:02 Ewers appeared in four games for the Dolphins during his rookie season, three of which were starts, and provides the ability to grow into Trevor Lawrence’s direct backup in 2026. While the details of the acquisition were not immediately made available, the deal appears to be a win-win for both sides considering the Dolphins currently find themselves in the midst of a multi-year rebuild. |

Dolphins QB Quinn Ewers suffered a groin injury in Friday’s preseason game against the Commanders. 2026-08-16 15:00:02 The Dolphins signed QB Mark Gronowski after Ewers picked up the injury. Ewers is the Dolphins’ primary backup, so the team was a little short-staffed for the remaining preseason games. Dolphins backup OT Jamaree Salyer reportedly suffered a season-ending injury. |

Dolphins OC Bobby Slowik said QB Quinn Ewers has taken “the next step” during the team’s mandatory minicamp. 2026-06-04 19:00:02 Slowik is a big fan of his QB2. He told us so in February, and apparently Ewers’ play continues to draw Slowik’s favor. Slowik complimented Ewers’ newfound conviction, adding that when he just “reacts” to how the play is unfolding in front of him, “he does some really cool stuff.” That said, we fully expect QB Malik Willis to be the Dolphins’ starter in Week 1. Consider Ewers a worthwhile stash in dynasty formats, just in case. |
